There were some who said I couldn't do it! :) Being the stubborn person I am, I decided to prove them wrong! :) Judy got me up and running, soon running farther than I ever dreamed I could. This marathon was one of the best experiences of my life for many reasons......the feeling of accomplishment of running and finishing 26.2 miles; competing with only myself makes everyone a winner; being with incredible friends; seeing the beauty of the landscape as you run past ancient rock formations; seeing the determination of over 7,000 runners who complete a challenge they each set for themselves!!!! I am grateful for those who believed in me and I am grateful to God for helping me through it. The first marathon of many to come.......
