We, down on the Martin family crazy farm, wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We've been very blessed this year. The chickens have been laying enough to keep us and several neighbors happy. The crops were abundant and Pa Martin was able to add on to the greenhouse to keep us fed through the cold winter months. All the kids, animals, and bees are healthy and happy!
Seriously, we are grateful for the miracles of every day! Cory and I are still enjoying our jobs...eagerly working our way toward retirement and self sufficiency. We made the transition this year from near-vegetarian to a vegan household. It was hard at first, but the year has given us time to make changes slowly. We do allow ourselves a treat day every week, but we try to make our treats with natural things at home. If you are wondering why we chose to be vegan, it's a choice we made for our overall long-term health.
Valley Academy, the charter school we've been working to open for the past few years, will open this year! Cory is very excited that I will have some extra time to spend with him after it opens. Little does he know that I have another project in mind for when the charter is up and running. J/K....he is aware...and the next project will be a family business. :)
Sending love and light to all of you! If you are reading this, we love you and we are grateful for our association with you.
Namaste
