This might be the prettiest flower I have ever seen. It makes me happy every time I walk out and see it. It is a variety of ice plant, a very nice drought tolerant ground cover. I have yellow, orange and purple in my yard. 
I love to see cacti bloom. We have planted 8 different kinds of cacti on one side of the house and they are all sending out new blooms and new growth in the past couple weeks. I love how the new growth is soft and thornless. Succulents are such cool plants. :)
